u nd sprach zu dem König: Der König lebe ewiglich! Sollte ich nicht übel sehen? Die Stadt da das Begräbnis meiner Väter ist, liegt wüst, und ihre Tore sind mit Feuer verzehrt.

and say to the king, `Let the king to the age live! wherefore should not my face be sad, when the city, the place of the graves of my fathers, a waste, and its gates have been consumed with fire?'
