e t je répondis au roi: Que le roi vive éternellement! Comment n'aurais-je pas mauvais visage, lorsque la ville où sont les sépulcres de mes pères est détruite et que ses portes sont consumées par le feu?

and say to the king, `Let the king to the age live! wherefore should not my face be sad, when the city, the place of the graves of my fathers, a waste, and its gates have been consumed with fire?'
