U nd Elia sprach zu ihm: Elisa, bleib doch hier; denn der HERR hat mich gen Jericho gesandt. Er aber sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt und deine Seele, ich verlasse dich nicht. Und da sie gen Jericho kamen,

Elijah said to him, “Elisha, please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho.” But he said, “ As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho.
