D a nun alles Volk hineinkam, mit David zu essen, da es noch hoch am Tage war, schwur David und sprach: Gott tue mir dies und das, wo ich Brot esse oder etwas koste, ehe die Sonne untergeht.

All the people came to urge David to eat bread while it was yet day; but David swore, saying, “God do so to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or anything else, until the sun goes down.”
