U nd da Jakob vollendet hatte die Gebote an seine Kinder, tat er seine Füße zusammen aufs Bett und verschied und ward versammelt zu seinem Volk.

وَلَمّا انتَهَى يَعقُوبُ مِنْ تَوْصِيَةِ أولادِهِ، سَحَبَ قَدَمَيهِ إلَى السَّرِيرِ. ثُمَّ لَفَظَ أنفاسَهُ الأخِيرَةَ. وَضُمَّ إلَى جَماعَتِهِ.
