A bimelech sprach: Warum hast du das getan? Es wäre leicht geschehen, daß jemand vom Volk sich zu deinem Weibe gelegt hätte, und hättest also eine Schuld auf uns gebracht.

And Abimelech said, What is this you have done to us? One of the men might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt and sin upon us.
