E t voici de la gaîté et de la joie! On égorge des boeufs et l'on tue des brebis, On mange de la viande et l'on boit du vin: Mangeons et buvons, car demain nous mourrons! -

But instead, there is joy and happiness, killing of cattle and sheep, eating of meat, and drinking of wine. You say, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”
