C elui qui dans sa fureur frappait les peuples, Par des coups sans relâche, Celui qui dans sa colère subjuguait les nations, Est poursuivi sans ménagement.

Who smote the peoples in anger with incessant blows and trod down the nations in wrath with unrelenting persecution— he who smote is persecuted and no one hinders any more.
