N e maudis pas le roi, même dans ta pensée, et ne maudis pas le riche dans la chambre où tu couches; car l'oiseau du ciel emporterait ta voix, l'animal ailé publierait tes paroles.

Do not curse the king, even in your thought; Do not curse the rich, even in your bedroom; For a bird of the air may carry your voice, And a bird in flight may tell the matter.
