A bsalom mit Amasa à la tête de l'armée, en remplacement de Joab; Amasa était fils d'un homme appelé Jithra, l'Israélite, qui était allé vers Abigal, fille de Nachasch et soeur de Tseruja, mère de Joab.

Absalom set Amasa over the army instead of Joab. Now Amasa was the son of a man whose name was Ithra the Israelite, who went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah, Joab’s mother.
