C osì Davide si alzò al mattino presto lasciò le pecore a un guardiano, prese il suo carico e partì come Isai gli aveva ordinato. Giunse al campo dei carri, quando l'esercito usciva per schierarsi in battaglia e lanciava il grido di guerra.

David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took and went, as Jesse had commanded him. He came to the place of the wagons, as the army which was going out to the fight shouted for the battle.
