L evati, santifica il popolo e digli: Santificatevi per domani, perché così ha detto l'Eterno, il DIO d'Israele: "O Israele, in mezzo a te ci sono delle cose votate allo sterminio. Tu non potrai tener fronte ai tuoi nemici, finché non abbiate tolto le cose votate allo sterminio di mezzo a voi.

Rise up, hallow the people, and say, Hallow yourselves for to-morrow; for thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, Israel: thou shalt not be able to stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from your midst.
