M entre degustava il vino, Belshatsar ordinò di far portare i vasi d'oro e d'argento che suo padre Nebukadnetsar aveva portato via dal tempio, che era in Gerusalemme, perché in essi bevessero il re e i suoi grandi, le sue mogli e le sue concubine.

Belshazzar, while he was tasting the wine, commanded that the gold and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem be brought, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them.
