« All'ombra di Heshbon si fermano spossati i fuggiaschi, ma un fuoco esce da Heshbona e una fiamma di mezzo a Sihon, che divora i fianchi di Moab e la sommità del capo degli uomini tumultuanti.

In the shadow of Heshbon the fugitives stand powerless (stopped in their tracks, helpless and without strength), for a fire has gone forth from Heshbon, a flame from the midst of Sihon; it has destroyed the corner of Moab and the crowns of the heads of the ones in tumult.
