A llora egli fece salire contro di loro il re dei Caldei, che uccise di spada i loro giovani nella casa del loro santuario, senza avere pietà per il giovane, la vergine, l'anziano, o la persona canuta. L'Eterno li diede tutti nelle sue mani.

Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldeans, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or virgin, old man or hoary-headed: he gave them all into his hand.
