D avide, alzati gli occhi, vide l'angelo dell'Eterno che stava fra terra e cielo con in mano una spada sguainata, tesa sopra Gerusalemme. Allora Davide e gli anziani, vestiti di sacco, caddero con la faccia a terra.

And David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the heaven and the earth, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.
