( Il Faraone, re d'Egitto, era salito e aveva espugnato Ghezer, l'aveva data alle fiamme ed aveva ucciso i Cananei che abitavano in città; poi l'aveva data in dote a sua figlia, moglie di Salomone).

(Pharaoh king of Egypt hath gone up and doth capture Gezer, and doth burn it with fire, and the Canaanite who is dwelling in the city he hath slain, and giveth it presents to his daughter, wife of Solomon.)
