P oi il re disse al sacerdote Abiathar: «Vattene ad Anathoth nei tuoi campi, perché tu meriti la morte, ma non ti farò morire oggi, perché hai portato l'arca del Signore, l'Eterno, davanti a mio padre Davide, e perché hai partecipato a tutte le sofferenze di mio padre».

And to Abiathar the priest the king said, Get to Anathoth to your own estate; for you deserve death, but I will not put you to death now, because you bore the ark of the Lord God before my father David and were afflicted in all my father endured.
