Q uando Ahithofel vide che il suo consiglio non era stato seguito, sellò il suo asino e partí per andare a casa sua nella sua città. Mise in ordine le faccende di casa sua e s'impiccò. Cosí morí e fu sepolto nel sepolcro di suo padre.

When Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey, arose, and went home, to his city, and set his house in order, and hanged himself; and he died, and was buried in the tomb of his father.
