A bsalom, mentre offriva i sacrifici, mandò a chiamare dalla sua città di Ghiloh Ahithofel, il Ghilonita, consigliere di Davide. Cosí la congiura acquistava forza perché il popolo andava crescendo di numero intorno ad Absalom.

And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, from Giloh, while he offered the sacrifices. And the conspiracy gathered strength; and the people increased continually with Absalom.
