M a Onan, sapendo che quella discendenza non sarebbe stata sua, quando si univa alla moglie di suo fratello, disperdeva il suo seme per terra, per non dare discendenza al fratello.

And Onan knew that the seed would not be his, and it came to pass when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he corrupted it on the ground, to not give seed to his brother.
