C uando los hombres de Hai se volvieron y miraron, he aquí, el humo de la ciudad subía al cielo, y no tenían lugar adónde huir, ni por un lado ni por otro, porque el pueblo que iba huyendo hacia el desierto se volvió contra sus perseguidores.

When the men of Ai looked back, they saw the smoke of the city going up to the sky. They had no place to run. Then the people of Israel who had been running away in the desert turned against those who went after them.
