Y los hijos de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel (porque él era el primogénito, mas como profanó la cama de su padre, sus derechos de primogenitura fueron dados a los hijos de José, hijo de Israel; de modo que no está inscrito en la genealogía conforme a los derechos de primogenitura;

And the sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel (for he was the first-born; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's couch, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
