A nd the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?

وَلَكِنَّ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ قالُوا لِلحِوِّيِّينَ: «لَكِنْ رُبَّما تَكُونُونَ ساكِنِينَ فِي وَسَطِنا. فَكَيفَ إذاً نَعمَلُ مَعَكُمْ مُعاهَدَةً؟»
