A nd he took about five thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city.

وَأخَذَ يَشُوعُ خَمسَةَ آلافِ رَجُلٍ وَجَعَلَهُمْ يَكْمُنُونَ بَينَ بَيْتَ إيلَ وَعايَ إلَى الغَرْبِ مِنَ المَدِينَةِ.
