A nd he took about five thousand men, and set them in ambush between Beth-el and Ai, on the west side of the city.

وَأخَذَ يَشُوعُ خَمسَةَ آلافِ رَجُلٍ وَجَعَلَهُمْ يَكْمُنُونَ بَينَ بَيْتَ إيلَ وَعايَ إلَى الغَرْبِ مِنَ المَدِينَةِ.
