B ut they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

«لَكِنَّهُمْ رَفَضُوا أنْ يَستَمِعُوا، بَلْ أدارُوا ظُهُورَهُمْ لِي بِتَمَرُّدٍ وَعِصيانٍ، وَسَدُّوا آذانَهُمْ عَنْ الاسْتِماعِ.
