B ut they refused to hearken, and turned a rebellious shoulder, and made their ears heavy, that they should not hear.

«لَكِنَّهُمْ رَفَضُوا أنْ يَستَمِعُوا، بَلْ أدارُوا ظُهُورَهُمْ لِي بِتَمَرُّدٍ وَعِصيانٍ، وَسَدُّوا آذانَهُمْ عَنْ الاسْتِماعِ.
