A nd the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

În acea vreme, sfatul pe care îl dădea Ahitofel avea aceeaşi autoritate ca şi când cineva L-ar fi întrebat pe Dumnezeu. Aşa erau toate sfaturile pe care le dădea Ahitofel atât lui David, cât şi lui Absalom.
