S aul chose three thousand men of Israel, of which two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in Mount Bethel and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin; and of the rest of the people he sent each one to his tent.

Saul si scelse tremila uomini d'Israele: duemila stavano con lui a Mikmash e nella regione montuosa di Bethel, e mille con Gionathan, a Ghibeah di Beniamino; rimandò invece il resto del popolo, ognuno alla sua tenda.
