h e left them only that the generations of the sons of Israel might know, and to teach them war, only for those that had known nothing before:

فَكانَ هَذا لِتَعلِيمِ فُنُونِ الحَرْبِ لأجْيالِ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ الَّذينَ لَمْ يَخُوضُوا حُرُوباً مِنْ قَبلُ.
