Joshua 23:13 ~ Iosua 23:13

k now for a certainty that the LORD your God will no longer drive out any of these Gentiles from before you, but they shall be snares and traps unto you and scourges in your sides and thorns in your eyes until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God has given you.

să fiţi încredinţaţi că Domnul Dumnezeul vostru, nu va mai izgoni aceste neamuri dinaintea voastră; ci ele vă vor fi o cursă şi un laţ, un bici în coaste, şi nişte spini în ochi, pînă veţi pieri de pe faţa acestei ţări bune, pe care v'a dat -o Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru.
