N ow there came a famine over all the land of Egypt and Canaan, and great tribulation, and our fathers found no sustenance.

ثُمَّ أتَتْ مَجاعَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مِصْرَ وَكَنعانَ. فَكانَ هُناكَ ضِيقٌ شَدِيدٌ، وَلَمْ يَجِدْ آباؤُنا طَعاماً.
