T hen Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I did not know that thou didst stand in the way against me; now therefore, if it displease thee, I will return.

فَقالَ بَلعامُ لِمَلاكِ اللهِ: «أخطَأْتُ بِعَدَمِ مَعرِفَتِي أنَّكَ كُنتَ تَقِفُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ لِتُوقِفَنِي. وَالآنَ، إنْ كانَتْ رِحلَتِي لا تُرضِيكَ فَإنِّي سَأرجِعُ إلَى بَيتِي.»
