A nd if someone smites the eye of their slave or the eye of their maid that it perishes, he shall let them go free for their eye’s sake.

Dacă un stăpân va lovi ochiul vreunui sclav sau al vreunei sclave şi-l face pe acesta sau pe aceasta să-şi piardă ochiul, sclavul, respectiv sclava, să fie lăsaţi să plece liberi ca despăgubire pentru ochi.
