N ow it came to pass, when they spoke daily unto him, and he did not hearken unto them, that they told Haman to see whether Mordecai’s word would stand; for he had told them that he was a Jew.

Ma, sebbene glielo ripetessero tutti i giorni, egli non dava loro ascolto; per cui essi riferirono la cosa a Haman, per vedere se Mardocheo avesse persistito nel suo comportamento. Egli aveva infatti loro detto che era giudeo.
