B ut Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash, the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons that were being slain, and kept him and his nurse in the bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada, the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.

Но Иосавеф, дочь царя Иорама, взяла Иоаша, сына Охозии, выкрала его из среды царских сыновей, которых должны были убить, и спрятала его вместе с кормилицей в спальне. Так Иосавеф, дочь царя Иорама и жена священника Иодая, сестра Охозии, укрыла ребенка от Аталии, и та не смогла его убить.
