T he sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua, the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD, and he slew him.

Con trai của Giu-đa là Ê-rơ, Ô-nan, và Sê-la. Ba người nầy Giu-đa sanh ra bởi con gái Su -a, người Ca-na-an. Ê-rơ, con cả của Giu-đa, làm sự dữ trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va, nên Ngài giết nó đi.
