A fterward the king sent and called for Shimei and said unto him, Build thee a house in Jerusalem and dwell there, and do not go forth from there anywhere.

وَبَعدَ ذَلِكَ اسْتَدعَى المَلِكُ شَمْعَى وَقالَ لَهُ: «ابْنِ لَكَ بَيتاً هُنا فِي القُدسِ. وَأقِمْ فِيهِ وَلا تُغادِرِ المَدِينَةَ أبَداً إلَى أيِّ مَكانٍ.
