d uke Magdiel, duke Iram: these were the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is the Esau, the father of Edom.

وَمَجْدِيئِيلَ وَعِيرامَ. هَذِهِ قَبائلُ أدُومَ حَسَبَ تَوزِيعِهِمْ فِي الأرْضِ الَّتِي امتَلَكُوها. وَعِيسُو هُوَ أصلُ أهلِ أدُومَ.
