E ntonces el rey de Israel llamó a todos los ancianos de la tierra, y les dijo: Entended, y ved ahora cómo éste no busca sino mal; pues que ha enviado a mí por mis mujeres y mis hijos, y por mi plata y por mi oro; y yo no se lo he negado.

Then the king of Israel called all the leaders of the land. He said to them, “Look and see how this man is looking for trouble. He sent to me for my wives and my children, my silver and my gold. And I did not say no to him.”
