ف َقالَ داوُدُ: «اسمَعْ، غَداً هُوَ عِيدُ أوَّلِ الشَّهرِ ووَليمتُهُ. وَيُفتَرَضُ أنْ أتَناوَلَ الطَّعامَ مَعَ المَلكِ. لَكِنْ دَعنِي أختَبِئُ في الحَقلِ حَتَّى مَساءِ يَوْمِ بَعْدَ غَدٍ.

David said to Jonathan, Tomorrow is the New Moon, and I should not fail to sit at the table with the king; but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field till the third day at evening.
