A nd when they arose early the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the ark of Jehovah; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the fish-stump was left to him.

Şi a doua zi, sculîndu-se disdedimineaţă, au găsit pe Dagon întins cu faţa la pămînt, înaintea chivotului Domnului; capul lui Dagon şi cele două mîni ale lui erau tăiate pe prag, şi nu -i rămăsese decît trunchiul.
