A nd David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of its sheath, and killed him completely, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they fled.

Davi correu, pôs os pés sobre ele, e, desembainhando a espada do filisteu, acabou de matá-lo, cortando-lhe a cabeça com ela. Quando os filisteus viram que o seu guerreiro estava morto, recuaram e fugiram.
