T hen David ran, and stood over the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.

Davi correu, pôs os pés sobre ele, e, desembainhando a espada do filisteu, acabou de matá-lo, cortando-lhe a cabeça com ela. Quando os filisteus viram que o seu guerreiro estava morto, recuaram e fugiram.
