A nd the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armour-bearer and said, Come up to us, and we will shew you something. And Jonathan said to his armour-bearer, Come up after me; for Jehovah has delivered them into the hand of Israel.

Poi gli uomini della guarnigione si rivolsero a Gionathan e al suo scudiero e dissero: «Salite da noi che abbiamo qualcosa da dirvi». Allora Gionathan disse al suo scudiero: «Sali dietro di me, perché l'Eterno li ha dati nelle mani d'Israele».
