A nd he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: as he had done to Hebron, and as he had done to Libnah, and to the king thereof, so he did to Debir and to the king thereof.

La prese con il suo re e con tutte le sue città; li passarono a fil di spada e votarono allo sterminio tutte le persone che vi si trovavano; non vi lasciò alcun superstite. Egli trattò Debir e il suo re come aveva trattato Hebron, come aveva pure trattato Libnah e il suo re.
