a nd he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to the king thereof.

La prese con il suo re e con tutte le sue città; li passarono a fil di spada e votarono allo sterminio tutte le persone che vi si trovavano; non vi lasciò alcun superstite. Egli trattò Debir e il suo re come aveva trattato Hebron, come aveva pure trattato Libnah e il suo re.
