J esus answers, Thou wilt lay down thy life for me! Verily, verily, I say to thee, The cock shall not crow till thou hast denied me thrice.

أجابَ يَسوعُ: «هلْ أنتَ مُستَعِدٌ حَقّاً أنْ تُضَحِّي بِحياتِكَ مِنْ أجلي؟ أقولُ لكَ الحَقَّ: قبلَ أنْ يَصيحَ الدِّيكُ، سَتَكونُ قدْ أنكَرتَني ثَلاثَ مَرّاتٍ!»
