A nd there went out to him all the district of Judaea, and all they of Jerusalem, and were baptised by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

A ele vinha toda a região da Judéia e todo o povo de Jerusalém. Confessando os seus pecados, eram batizados por ele no rio Jordão.
